Blogs and Twitter have made their way into the White House …
Here’s the NY Times blog that was posted live from the White House news conference that happened a couple of hours ago.
And here’s the link to the NY Times on Twitter.
Still forming an opinion on the idea of our political reporters blogging away at the back of the East Room. Some of the personal comments and opinions annoyed me — like “Finally! A break from the wonkish budget talk.” and “It’s 8:47 and still no foreign policy questions. What is the world coming to?” from Helene Cooper — but the play-by-play on the questions the reporters were asking was interesting. I also like how you can click around to get more information on a discussion topic. And the comments posted in response to the blog are worth checking out … gives you some information on the types of people reading the NY Times online.
I will definitely be checking out the online “town meeting” on the White House website that will happen on Thursday (US time). Guess everyone is invited to submit questions for the President. All of the submitted questions will be voted on and the President will answer the questions that receive the most votes. Yeah rating systems!!!
